Ferrero Rocher Overnight Oats
Another recipe of famous candy turning into healthy breakfast, and for this time; Ferrero Rocher! If you like the famous chocolate-hazelnut candy, you will love this healthy overnight oat version.
One of my hobbies is taking famous desserts or snacks and turning them into a healthy overnight oat breakfast. I did it with these Ferrero Rocher overnight oats, Raffaello overnight oats, and, of course, Snickers overnight oats (which you must try). After all, why not start your day with something healthy and delicious?
Can I use instant oats instead of rolled oats?
Yes, you can use instant oats, but the texture will be softer. Rolled oats are preferred for a chewy texture. I don’t recommend it.
Is there a substitute for chia seeds?
Yes, you can replace chia seeds with ground flaxseeds or omit them if preferred. Chia seeds help thicken the mixture and add fiber.
What type of milk works best for this recipe?
Any milk works well! You can use almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, or regular dairy milk, depending on your preference.
How can I make this recipe lower in calories?
To reduce calories, you can use less hazelnut butter and opt for a low-calorie sweetener or skip the sweetener entirely.
Can I skip the topping, or are there other topping options?
The topping is optional! If you want a different flavor, try topping with fresh berries, banana slices, or a sprinkle of cocoa nibs instead.
How to store overnight oats
- Refrigerate: Store the oats in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. Glass jars with lids or small containers work well.
- Storage Duration: Overnight oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. They may soften more over time, so they’re usually best eaten within the first 2-3 days.
- Portioning: If you make a larger batch, portion them into single servings so you can grab them quickly for an easy breakfast.
- Avoid Freezing: Overnight oats generally don’t freeze well, as freezing can alter the texture and affect the quality.
- Adding Fresh Toppings: If using fresh fruit or crunchy toppings, add them just before eating to keep them fresh and prevent sogginess.
