How to Make a Giant Oreo Cake

Ingredients
  

For the cake:

  • 1 â…” cups 210g flour
  • ½ cup 60g cocoa powder
  • 1 cup 200g white sugar
  • ¼ cup 50g brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon
  • salt
  • 1 cup – 2 tbsp 200g softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the filling:

  • 1¼ cups 300ml cold heavy cream
  • â…“ cup 40g powdered sugar
  • 100 g 3.5 oz white chocolate
  • 10 Oreo cookies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • DIRECTIONS
    1. Preheat oven to 360F (180C).
    2. Beat soft butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add eggs and vanilla extract, beat until combined.
    3. In a separate bowl sift flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Add salt and stir.
    4. Gradually add flour mixture and mix until well combined. Divide the batter into two equal parts and spread into the greased cookie molds (you can buy the molds here: https://amzn.to/31dvwUI)
    5. Bake 25-30 minutes. Let cool on a rack until both cookies are chilled.
    6. Make the filling: melt the chocolate and set aside to cool. In a large bowl whip heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whip to stiff peaks. Add melted chocolate, crush in the oreo cookies and gently fold. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
    7. Spread the filling on the first cookie and place the second cookie on top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  4. Hi. Can I bake the whole cake batter in a single springform cake tin and slice it in half? Wondering if the batter might be too dense for that?
