Frozen yogurt bars – healthy easy to make snack. This frozen yogurt recipe makes a super delicious dessert that anyone can make at home. These bars are packed with proteins, fruits and nuts. The beauty of this recipe is that you can add as much sweetener as you like, any fruit and berries that you like and make it in your way and taste.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 pound 450g Plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup 85g Honey/maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • Lemon zest from one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup 60g Strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • ¼ cup 50g Blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • ¼ cup 40g Walnuts/almonds

Instructions
 

  • DIRECTIONS
    1. Line the bottom of an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper.
    2. In a large bowl mix yogurt, honey/maple syrup, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla extract.
    3. Pour yogurt mixture into prepared pan and spread evenly.
    4. Sprinkle desired toppings; raspberries, blueberries, nuts or other topping that you like.
    5. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until set.
    6. Cut into bars and serve frozen.
    7. Keep in the freezer.

I only wish I had it before this weekend…the hottest weather we have had to endure for some time. This dessert would have made it a little more bearable. Thank you for sharing!

  6. The nutritional value is dependent on the amounts & type of yogurt .
    Google 1/4 walnuts for nutritional value ; blueberries & strawberries – depending on how much maple syrup or honey you use , look at the container for that info . The sane would apply for yogurt , do you use fat free , 1%, Greek ? Then check the container and calculate ! Nuts have good fat in them ! It’s the too much sweeenjng you use that is the problem .. although natural honey or maple syrup isn’t bad …
