3 Ingredient Oreo Dessert
Ingredients for Oreo Moussse
To make this 3-ingredient oreo dessert you just need 3 basic ingredients:
Oreo Cookies: These serve as the main flavor component, giving the mousse its signature chocolatey, creamy, and crunchy texture. When crushed, they blend into the whipped cream, adding both flavor and texture.
Heavy Cream: This is the base for the mousse, providing a light, airy texture when whipped to stiff peaks. The cream adds richness and helps the mousse hold its shape.
Powdered Sugar: This ingredient adds sweetness to the mousse and helps stabilize the whipped cream. Its fine texture ensures a smooth consistency without any graininess.
How to Make Oreo Mousse
- Crush the Oreos: Place Oreo cookies in a Ziploc bag or use a blender/food processor to crush them into fine crumbs. Set aside.
- Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, whip cold heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. This will create a fluffy and stable base for the mousse.
- Fold in the Oreos: Gently fold the crushed Oreos into the whipped cream until combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the mousse light and airy.
- Chill and Serve: Pipe the mousse into serving dishes, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set. Decorate with a halved Oreo cookie before serving.

Common Questions
Yes! Oreo mousse can be made ahead of time. It’s best to refrigerate it for at least 4 hours to allow the mousse to set. You can prepare it a day in advance and keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve. Just be sure to cover it properly to prevent it from absorbing any fridge odors.
While store-bought whipped cream can be a time-saver, whipping fresh heavy cream is recommended for the best texture. Freshly whipped cream creates a fluffier and more stable mousse, giving you that light and airy consistency that makes this Oreo mousse recipe so special.
Yes, you can freeze Oreo mousse, but the texture may change slightly when thawed. If you do freeze it, allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving. Frozen Oreo mousse can also make for a delicious frozen dessert on its own!

My only concern is that it will just taste like whipped cream with Oreos because that’s how it sounds
It tried it and they were so buttery and crispy such a good taste!!! I rolled out dough in between parchment and let it chill for few hrs in the fridge. It worked perfectly well! Im using those as my dunk cookies for family & friends.
Can I use cream cheese or whipping cream as a substitute for heavy cream
Heavy cream and heavy whipping cream are the same thing
It’s fire no cap
I added a container of whipped cream to make it more light and fluffy. Still tastes great!
I love how everyone said they would tell us how it went and never did lol. It’s my mom’s birthday today so I’m going to try making this today because she hates cake.
Could I put it in the fridge for 30 mins instead
Always works for me.
