Brew the tea: In a heatproof jug or bowl, pour 2 cups of hot water over the black tea. Let steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. Then remove the tea bags or strain the leaves. Let the tea cool slightly.
Make the strawberry puree: In a blender, add the strawberries, maple syrup (or any other sweetener), lemon juice and blend until smooth. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove the seeds.
Combine: In a large pitcher, mix together the brewed tea, strawberry puree, cold water and ice. Stir well until everything is combined and the syrup is dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness or acidity to your liking.
Chill: Serve or place in the fridge to chill until ready to serve.
Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour over the chilled strawberry tea. Garnish with mint leaves, fresh strawberry slices or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes
Storage: Keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Stir before serving as natural separation may occur.
Tea options: Feel free to swap black tea with green tea, white tea, or herbal tea like hibiscus or rooibos for a caffeine-free version. Or even strawberry tea.
Sweetener options: Maple syrup adds a lovely natural sweetness, but you can use honey, Date syrup, stevia, white sugar or simple syrup instead. You can also skip the sweetener completely.
Sweetness level: The sweetness of your tea will depend on the ripeness of your strawberries and your personal taste. Start with 2 tablespoons of sweetener, then taste and add more if needed.
