In a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, Gochujang paste, egg and breadcrumbs.
Form into balls and place the balls in a baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.
Make the sauce: In a skillet/pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Add grated ginger and grated garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes. Add brown sugar, Gochujang paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, water and mix well. Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
Meanwhile in a small bowl mix cornstarch and water. Pour the mixture into sauce, cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickens.
Add the meatballs, reduce the heat to low and cook for 3-4 minutes. Cover the meatballs with the sauce.
Turn the heat off, sprinkle some sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
